Summer Learning Journey (Week 1 - Day 5 - Activity 2 )
Yursa Mardini lived in Syria she was 12 years old and she loved to swim.Then one day her house got destroyed by a bomb.She was on a boat with her family to get away.She then became a refugee.Her two sisters were heros when the jumped of to find help after the engine broke down.

You have recalled some key facts about Yusra’s story. Well done. I think it is amazing that Yusra, her sister and two other people jumped into the water and keep the boat afloat until they were washed up on shore and saved the lives of 20 people! She is now on the Refugee Olympic team and has achieved so much for someone aged only 21 too. What I also think is amazing, is that she is now helping other refugees, especially refugee women and their families. A truly inspirational lady she is!
